Schult 50th Anniversary Home Design Means More Options for Liechty Homes Customers

Anniversary Home Design Bundles Quality Features for Less

Schult Homes has been blazing a trail in the modular home industry for 90 years. They opened in 1934 and expanded to Redwood Falls, MN in 1973. This year, in celebration of Schult’s 50th anniversary in Redwood, they have designed a new model that displays all the traits that have created their 90 years of success.

The residential look of the 5/12 roof pitch helps make Schult’s anniversary home design a great fit for any lot.

Corey Theis, Schult Senior Customer Success Manager was able to describe the intention behind a few of the model’s unique features.

  • Premium design: The 5/12 roof pitch gives it a more residential look and offers great protection from the elements, like improved watershed in heavy snow or rain.

  • Maximum versatility: The flex room can be omitted in favor of an inset garage, making it a good fit for all retailers in either residential lots, infill in lots in communities, or a farm.

  • Energy efficiency: Homebuyers can save additional money on the costs of owning their 50th anniversary home thanks to e-Built™ technology.

In addition to offering these great features, Schult will also give one lucky buyer another reason to celebrate: every customer who purchases a Schult home from any sales center that carries the anniversary floor plan (this includes all Liechty Homes locations) between November 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024 will be entered into a drawing to win $25,000! This is a great opportunity not just for those interested in the anniversary house, but any Schult floor plan.

Generations of Success

Second generation Liechty Homes owner, Curt Liechty, remembers that proximity and quality were the key issues back when Liechty Homes and Schult began their partnership in the 1980s. “They were the closest manufacturer,” said Liechty, “but it wasn’t just proximity. There were other competitors building in South Dakota and Minnesota, but Schult was always a higher quality product. That was a big reason we began doing business with them and now they make up about 85% of the homes we sell.

Schult’s high quality products and close proximity to the customer means more house for less money!

Schult’s proximity also allows Liechty Homes to keep the price low for their customers. “Freight costs are dollars that add zero value to the house,” says Liechty Homes General Manager, Tom Erie. “Buying a home produced closer to the customer saves them money and increases the ease of parts and service calls. It helps us get our customers more house for less money.

Cory Cellmer, Sales Manager for Schult Homes, is one of several generational employees of Schult, who can speak to the successful relationship with Liechty Homes. “My dad ran the Schult plant in Kansas for 20 years and used to deliver to Liechty Homes in Gillette, WY, and other areas. He knew Si Liechty and the original Liechty Owners. Now it’s in the third generation and Liechty Homes has been our number one multi-lot retailer for over 20 years.

A Strong Partnership Into a Bright Future

It all adds up to a winning equation for Liechty Homes, Schult Homes, and the customer. Cellmer agrees, “We’ve had a strong working relationship with Liechty Homes for over 30 years and our brands will continue to grow together. We look forward to good things for the next 30 plus years.”
